Hi, I’m Amanda. 🤍

BA (Psychology), PGCert (Human Services), Dip (Holistic Integrated Creative Arts Therapy) Dip (Counselling)

I’m a qualified counsellor and creative with a heart for helping women heal from sexual trauma, religious harm, betrayal, and burnout—especially those carrying the weight of childhood sexual abuse (CSA), toxic faith experiences, or a lost sense of identity.

My approach combines Solution-Focused, Strengths-Based Narrative Therapy (storywork) with evidence-based tools from CBT and ACT. For those who desire it, I gently integrate Christian faith in ways that bring healing—not pressure or performance.

Whether you're navigating the aftershocks of childhood sexual abuse (CSA), religious trauma, people-pleasing, or burnout, you're not alone. Together, we’ll explore healing, reconnection, and rhythms of peace that honour both your personal story and what you hold sacred.

How I Work

My practice is built on Solution-Focused, Strengths-Based Narrative Therapy (storywork) and draws from evidence-based tools like CBT and ACT.

My deepest desire is to offer a safe, shame-free space where your story can be seen, held, and gently reframed—with care and hope.

  • Identify and rewrite false beliefs that keep you stuck

  • Establish life-giving rhythms for peace and renewal

A Cross-Cultural Lens

As a former missionary kid, pastor’s kid, and international worker, I know the joys and the deep toll of serving in high-pressure environments.

I’ve volunteered, raised children, homeschooled, and supported vulnerable communities in cross-cultural contexts. And I’ve also known:

  • The loneliness of reentry

  • The ache of unmet expectations

  • The emotional exhaustion of caregiving and ministry life

Through it all, I’ve discovered that healing often begins through quiet, unexpected paths—like therapy, rest, and safe connection.

I carry treasured memories from years spent living and serving overseas—places of deep learning, beauty, and connection. Maybe you can relate.

Helping the Helper

I specialise in supporting:

  • Leaders and carers

  • Women recovering from sexual abuse or betrayal

  • Survivors of spiritual abuse and high-control environments

  • Missionaries and cross-cultural workers

If you’re feeling bone-weary, unseen, or unsure how to reconnect with yourself or your future—you're not alone. I’d be honoured to walk with you.

A Safe Space for Women of Faith

I know how complex healing can be when abuse is tied to spiritual authority or religious experiences. If you're wrestling with church hurt, fear-based theology, or spiritual confusion, you’re not alone—and you don’t need to pretend you’re okay. Whether you’re looking to process past trauma, reclaim your sense of identity, or simply feel safe in your body again—I offer a non-judgemental space where your story can be held with gentleness and truth... where you are free to:

  • Question what needs to be questioned

  • Be honest about what hurt

  • And still find your way back to faith, without pressure or performance
(or simply reconnect with your own sense of truth and peace)

Healing is possible. So is peace. So is freedom.

You don’t have to be perfect—you just have to take the next step, gently and honestly.
